Big week for tourism in British Columbia

Next week is shaping up to be a fantastic time to be on Canada's West coast, as two key industry conferences are being held in Victoria and Vancouver.

The annual TIAC conference kicks off on Sunday in Victoria with a great line-up of seminars and lots of opportunities to share war stories with colleagues in the industry.  This year's conference is focused on strategies to increase tourism from the American market.

Then on Wednesday in Vancouver, the Canada E-Connect conference will focus on strategic issues facing the industry's e-commerce planners.

I'm really looking forward to both events and will be presenting at E-Connect as well as moderating a panel discussion on the Evolution of Advertising.

This is the first year for E-Connect, but the speaker line-up is very impressive.  The conference will also serve as the launch pad for Tips from the T-List, a newly published collection of articles from tourism industry bloggers.

I'm going to cart along my video recorder and harass old friends for interviews.  Stay tuned.
